Message From Principal

We look back fondly to the very first moment when we began our auspicious journey twenty
five years ago on 15th January 1995.
Our school is named after one of the world's most inspiring scientists Madame Marie
Sklodowska Curie, who won the Nobel Prize twice, in two different disciplines of science,
Physics and Chemistry- with her groundbreaking discoveries in the field of Radiations.
According to Madame Curie,
"You cannot hope to build a better world without improving the individuals."
We too in Mare Curie School believe that every individual child is precious and is gifted with a
spark. And we try to inculcate creativity, innovation and confidence in each and every student.
We proceeded in bold steps with earnestness, dedications and commitment to create a safe,
nurturing and challenging environment for our students emotionally, socially and of course
academically. We focus on discovering, developing and drawing out the hidden talents and the
magic lying dormant inside all of our students. We try to provide an appealing and stimulating
curriculum which is tailored to the needs of each and every student.
"Nothing in life is to be feared, it is only to be understood. Now is the time to understand more,
so that we may fear less." - Quote by Marie Curie
Madame Curie's life depicts her immense struggle all through her life to fulfill her dream.
Nothing could stand in her way. She overcame every obstacle and reached the pinnacle of
success. This is the sense of spirit and hard work and strong will we try to instill into our
students.
Education with creativity and technological knowledge is essential for human beings in this
competitive world. They must be able to grow in confidence and capabilities and develop the
skills for the rapidly changing 21st century. Students must be challenged beyond their comfort
zones and encouraged to think critically. In today's dynamic world, a 360 degree development
and grooming is of supreme importance and in our school we are creating an environment for
future leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals who will possess skills and attitude in an array
of functional disciplines.
Students must know how to think to problem solve, to innovate and collaborate.
However, as we impart education to match advancement in technology and globalisation, we
march our children ahead with moral values and principles. We endeavour constantly

to instill these qualities in them. We pride ourselves on helping them grow and develop into
sensitive and responsible citizens of the next generation. Our students become strong in self-
esteem and personal expectation and develop a healthy and respectful attitude towards others.
How time flies! Twenty five long years seems to have whizzed past. We have come a long way
with our determination and zeal to achieve our objective.
Our achievements of the past years fill me with a sense of pride and satisfaction. Our students
did exceedingly well in academics and also in co-curricular fields. It is heartening to see many of
them winning laurels and succeeding in their lives.
Over the years Marie Curie School has taken shape and crystallized into a renowned school
under the wisdom and steady hand of our Chairperson Prof.Dr.M Shamsher Ali and our
respected members Dr.Halima Khatun, Taleya Rehman and Rashida Zaman whose constant
advice gave us the edge we needed to stand out from other schools. It is very sad to mention
about the eternal departure of our most senior advisor Halima Apa. We feel her absence in all
our activities and miss her inspiring advice since the very beginning.
I would like to recognize the parents who have entrusted us with the immense responsibility of
educating their children.
A committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, caring and cooperative parents
blend harmoniously to create a child-centered school. Our teachers try to create appropriate,
meaningful and participative learning situation, instilling life skills in the students and
appreciating their smallest efforts with all generosity and broadness of vision.
Teamwork is the hallmark of Marie Curie School. I am sure that in future we can achieve much
more to enrich our students through our collaborative effort.
Once again I quote Marie Curie:
"We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe we are
gifted for something and that must be attained."
Today as we march beyond the twenty-fifth year of our existence, we pledge to work
relentlessly for every child and open new vistas in areas of education and encourage them to
aspire for their ultimate goals.
